Mossy Huon Pine Jacket
Huon Pine (Lagarostrobos franklinii) is a species of conifer native to the wet southwestern corner of Tasmania, Australia. It is a slow-growing, but long-lived tree; some living specimens of this tree are in excess of 2000 years old.
Historically, the wood has been used in the building of classic wooden boats. Whilst the trees are now protected, fallen dead timber may be still used to craft wood.
With this natural beauty as inspiration, the ‘Mossy Huon Pine’ Raw Silk jacket uses muted pine green and cream silk in a stringybark weave to pay homage to this ancient Australian treasure. A wonderful addition to any wardrobe.
