The Freycinet Peninsula, on Tasmania’s east coast is thought to have formed approximately 400 million years ago. The foundations of this spectacular scenery are two gigantic slabs of granite, connected by a narrow sandy isthmus of weathered broken-down granite. One of the most impressive and recognisable features of the Freycinet National Park are the rugged faces of the Hazards Mountains and their pink-hued granite peaks, which overlook the township of Coles Bay. This Joe Bananas handwoven weave is our nod to this beautiful part of Tassie.
