Raw Silk Jacket Inspiration

Gypsum is a soft sulphate mineral composed of calcium sulphate dihydrate. A massive fine-grained white or lightly tinted variety of gypsum, called alabaster, has been used for sculpture by many cultures including Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Ancient Rome, Byzantine empire and the Nottingham alabasters of Medieval England.

Whilst we may not be artists from ancient times, we do feel the 'Gypsum Ropeweave' Raw Silk Jacket is art. The metallic threads throughout the ropeweave give this the kind of subtle sparkle to catch a stranger's eye in all the right ways. Elegant in presence, dramatic in appeal - this jacket is the ultimate in distinguished style.
